End of life care is the most difficult part of a veterinarian’s job, yet it is also viewed as a time where the veterinarian can offer the pet, and pet parent, relief of suffering. Dr. Kimmel and staff strive to provide a peaceful passing for animals in need, as well as offer the best possible experience for the pet parent in one of the most difficult times of pet companionship. In memory of your pet, QCAH offers keepsakes such as a clay paw print, custom framed paw print with pet’s name and cremation urns. Cremation services are provided using PALS Pet and Animal Lover Services. When your pet is cremated at Quail Crossing Animal Hospital, you have the option to receive the ashes back in a wooden urn with your pet’s name on a heart shaped tag. If you choose not to take the ashes home with you, they are mixed with an organic planting mixture and spread at Sunland Pet Rest in Sun City, Arizona.
