Quality of Life & Hospice Care

As pets age or become ill, it is sometimes difficult for their pet parent’s to know what the next steps are in their beloved companion’s care. Quality of life exams help the pet parent and the veterinarian communicate concerns and work on a plan towards keeping the pet comfortable. Hospice care is when a plan is implemented to stop most or all diagnostics or treatment, and continue to provide the pet with services or medications that will keep them comfortable, such as fluids and pain management.
